About Me

The biggest lesson I have learned from my experiences is to persevere. I sometimes take myself too seriously, but in the end, my mindfulness has helped me grow in positive ways from negative experiences.

From infancy, my mom referred to me as 'buddha'. I have always been slow to act, taking time to observe so as to develop a sense of awareness. Once I feel comfortable, I jump in 100%. So in addition to 'buddha', I am often described as being a patient perfectionist. I will admit, my want for perfection slows me down, but it is important to me that I develop a sense of mastery in all that I do. How else can I honestly say whether or not I like something if I don't develop the skill needed to do that something well?

So although I caution myself about taking life too seriously, I have learned so much from self-exploration. I would not be the human I am if I did not pause to consider the motivations behind my actions. Life is a journey that unfolds with each passing day. I would miss the finer details if I didn't slow down so that I could pay attention to what is happening right in from of me.
